ABOUT
More Than a Dent has been established to deliver projects with a long term impact to communities in need all around the world, with one project being funded per year.
Only projects that offer long term benefit to communities are selected and then fundraised for. Measures are put in place to support the project's delivery of their objectives over the long term.
This is very much a small focused charity with a big heart. We have no office, no employees and no shortage of enthusiasm from those who buy into the idea that projects with a long term focus can positively benefit the communities around them.
How will it work? Rather than applying for large grants, we communicate each of our projects' worth and benefit to those around us and convince them to support the cause. Although this is much harder, it results in a more meaningful impact

2023 Mikililand Primary School - ETHIOPIA
READ MOREWe’re currently in the process of raising £25,000 for Mikililand Primary. The school has a population of 1,226 and the majority of the children who attend are from low-income socio-economic backgrounds. The school currently does not have sufficient water and sanitation facilities, leaving the children vulnerable to diseases caused by bacteria and viruses in the water.

BECOME A PROJECT
To be considered for a project you must demonstrate that your initiative will have long term benefits to your community (long term is over 10 years). Most projects will receive between UK£10,000 and UK£15,000 depending on the need.
To apply, simply fill in the online form, the more details the better and we will be in touch if we think it is something we can take forward to the selection panel (who are the trustees of the charity). You must be a registered charity or organisation in your country.
OUR STORY
More than a Dent was set up by Edwin and Magda who, along with their fellow trustees, believe that everyone should do what they can, when they can to help those in need. Having worked in Uganda and set up their own businesses www.artisancoffee.co.uk www.artisancoffeeschool.co.uk and www.curiousroo.com; their aim is to transfer their skills and contacts to support long term projects around the world.
